Oncology Facials in Glendora, CA

Comfort Therapy: gentle, oncology-safe skin care for clients in active cancer treatment or recovery

Cancer treatment changes your skin. Chemotherapy, radiation, targeted therapies and the medications that come with them can leave skin dry, tight, sensitive or reactive, often at the moment you most need some comfort. Comfort Therapy is a 50-minute facial designed for this time. Lisa adapts pressure, products and timing to your treatment, and the focus is on easing discomfort and helping you feel like yourself again.

Who it's for

  • Clients in chemotherapy, radiation, immunotherapy or hormone therapy

  • Clients in recovery after treatment has ended

  • Anyone whose skin has become dry, sensitive or reactive since treatment began

What happens in the appointment

Lisa starts with a conversation about where you are in treatment, what your skin has been doing, and anything to work around, such as a port, a recent surgery site, radiation-treated skin or lymph node concerns. The facial is then built around you: gentle cleansing, soothing hydration, products suited to sensitive skin, and slow, calm touch with the pressure adjusted to your comfort. Nothing aggressive. You can rest, talk, or simply close your eyes.

Timing your facial around treatment

During chemotherapy, white blood cell counts are usually lowest about 7 to 10 days after an infusion, when the body is most vulnerable to infection. Booking outside that window is usually wise. Your oncology team knows your schedule best, so if you're unsure, ask them first and Lisa will plan around their guidance.

After your facial

Most clients leave with skin that feels calmer, softer and more comfortable. Lisa will share simple home care suggestions suited to where you are in treatment. If you'd like regular visits, she can plan them around your treatment cycle.

Questions clients ask

Is it safe to get a facial during chemotherapy?

Usually, yes, with the right timing, gentle products and an oncology-trained esthetician. Avoid the days your counts are lowest, and check with your care team if you're unsure.

Should I check with my doctor first?

If you have any doubts, yes. You're always welcome to share their guidance with Lisa so she can follow it.

Can I book if I have a port or recently had surgery?

Yes. Mention it when you book so the treatment and positioning can work around it.

What if I don't feel well on the day?

Treatment is unpredictable. Just let Lisa know and you'll find another time.

Is Comfort Therapy only for women?

No. Anyone in treatment or recovery is welcome.
